The presence of certain emotional circles with varying intensity is almost constant in my daily life. These emotions work like a constant climate in the background. The majority of them are a type of anxiety, but guilt and shame feelings often come to the forefront. These emotional circles were difficult for me to detect due to their constant presence.
The challenge and oppression of these emotional circles, as well as the inner noise that follows, took shape in me as a moving installation. The material of the moving sculptures is concrete, which is linked to this emotional circle for me. In the urban environment, the constant presence and coldness of the raw, untreated concrete surfaces remind me of the nature of anxiety. Their presence is constant, but so familiar that it doesn't even stand out anymore, just like how anxiety can become tense in the background.
The video accompanying the exhibition shows a piece of black ice melting from the warmth of the hand, which is an association for me that signifies a way out of this emotional circle.
